Review summary
There were so many positives to this cruise, it is hard to narrow it down to just a few. Our evening meal was at 5:30 each night, we had the same to wait staff, Savio and Jessica - simply the best, so caring and personable. It was great getting to meet them and learn about their lives and they provided the absolute best service we could have asked for. Our room attendant, Arleen, had a smile each time we saw her and she was so proud of her work, which was impeccable. Our sons had Marvin, and he was just as great for them. They just don't get enough due recognition. The food was plentiful, a wide variety, and very good. There was always something to do onboard with a variety of activities for all ages. From bingo to massages to the flow rider - great times. We looked forward to the professional entertainment each night, as well. From comedians to show stopping performances on the stage and on ice. Our group was very impressed.
We did the refreshment package for 3 of the 4 of us. I would probably not get it and just purchase nonalcoholic specialty drinks on an as needed basis. It did however help when we got water bottles, since you have to pay for bottled water. There is always tea, coffee and water available and included in the regular price of the cruise. I have mixed feeling on the package due to the price. We don't drink alcohol so I'm guessing the ones who drank a lot used their packages to the fullest. We didn't have a lot of partying on our ship so that was nice, too.
The one thing that I could do without is all the selling of jewelry and watches. I guess some people buy their jewelry on cruises, but I think they would be better off having more of a variety of souvenirs for purchase because when they had the t-shirt sale people went crazy.
The ship was clean and the public restrooms were clean.
Some of the extra add-on activities I thought were a bit pricy. Like the cupcake decorating, we didn't do it mainly because of the price.
We did 2 excursions with the ship, in Grand Cayman and Jamaica. Very well organized and the guides were informative and friendly. In Grand Cayman we swam with dophins and stingrays. This was amazing! The only downfall is that you cannot take your cameras to the dolphin experience and the pictures are jacked sky high! They were excellent photos, but they wanted $50 per person in the photograph for all of the photos. I know how much it costs to burn a cd of photos - They could have had a much more affordable price and sold many more cds/pictures. In our group of 40 they only sold 1. You could have a camera at the stingrays. I highly recommend both of these. At Jamaica we did Konoko Falls and the rainforest. Once again, I strongly recommend this. So much fun climbing the falls and the guides were great. We didn't have an excursion booked in Cozumel and took a taxi using Santi, he was right inside the gate before we walked out. Took us to the shopping, stayed there while we shopped and then took us to a private beach for a few hours. Totally worth it!
This was our first cruise and our experience was so amazing we cannot wait to go again.
The teen group they had was really liked by our teenagers, too.
It would be nice if they had something else for 18-21 year olds to do - they kind of fall in the crack.
We had 10 in our group ranging from age 16 - 53.
Fabulous experience.

Ship tip
Next time we are in Grand Cayman we will probably rent a taxi and tour the island - very clean and safe island. Always plan ahead in Jamaica!! Not a safe place. The guest services staff is more than accommodating answering questions and giving great advice.
