Review summary

The cruise is really nice and the food is awesome.  My kids loved the slides and pools.  I would probably try to take another cruise in low season as it was quite crowded sometimes.  But the cruise is definitely worth it!  The excursion to Red Stripe beach in Jamaica was nice, pristine waters and not too many people!

I feel the same! We all enjoy Royal Caribbean that's all that matters!

vickie1968    8 years ago

No hard feelings😃

Sorry if I hurt anybody's feelings!

I love that you assume I have children and that they would be rude..... So I would be careful about calling others rude! Last I checked royal had 27 ships, why pick one that you know will be full of families. That's all I'm trying to get at!

Oyster4.... No need to be so rude. My husband and I are hardly elderly. We choose to cruise with RCI because we love their ships, and most of the time we love the clientele....however, an unruly, rude bunch of kids can affect my vacation negatively. So many parents today believe their little snowflakes can do no wrong.... From your tone I'm guessing you're in that group.

So true kandee88......it's those parents that haven't taught the children the ABC's of respect.

kandee88    8 years ago

The children usually aren't the problem, it is usually the parents who haven't taught them to be respectful. We have been on a few cruises and for the most part the children on board are better behaved than most adults. Lol

Kids r fine, I've cruised many many times with children, but that one time they were rude and disrespectful!! If that's what u like from children then go 4 it!!

oster4    8 years ago

Just saying if your looking for peace and quiet, I don't think royal is the answer.

vickie1968    8 years ago

Well not one of us hate kids....if you read what we wrote....we all have kids and grandkids....we just don't like the parents that don't make them mind.

oster4    8 years ago

Holland America for example!

oster4    8 years ago

Maybe all you child haters should try a line geared towards the elderly crowd!!

youngnana16    8 years ago

I agree with u both.....i love children, have 17 grands and 3 great grands! But when kids have no home training it's makes it rough on everybody around. I refer to the Adventure of the seas as a floating daycare.....they were everywhere....lol

cruisingurl    8 years ago

I understand completely. I have 4 children (all married) and 4 grandchildren. Now I just want peace and quiet. 😉

vickie1968    8 years ago

Thanks...not that I don't like kids...I have grandkids just that people don't make them mind or be respectful now a days.

Early December there are less children. There will always be some as a lot of them are home schooled these days and a lot of people travel from other states where the school system is different than Texas. As for traveling out of Puerto Rico, I'm not sure when kids are in or out of school.

U will LOVE it!!

vickie1968    8 years ago

I will be leaving from Galveston....wow I hope it is not like that..

youngnana16    8 years ago

I thought in early Nov.the kids would have been in school but i guess not.

youngnana16    8 years ago

I went on a RCCL in Nov.of 2014 leaving out of Puerto Rico and i swear every child in PR was on that ship and then some. And not only that they were rude children.....pushing and shoving their way onto and off the elevators. I almost spilled hot coffee on a couple who ran under/by me while i was trying to carefully carry it back to a table!!

vickie1968    8 years ago

How about early December....is there lots of kids

cruisingurl    8 years ago

There really is no "low season" with RCCL. Every sailing is fully booked. The only difference is kid and hurricane season which runs between June 1 and November 30. Actually, kid season ends around Labor Day. Prices are typically higher in summer. There are kids on all sailings, just not as many after Labor Day.
