Review summary

it took 2.5 days for the maintenance people to get our AC to blow in our room. We had to keep checking with the staff to see if they had closed the ticket or what because nobody was giving us feedback... When it was finally cool , we lost hot water!  That problem was fixed after a few showers but nobody ever warned us about it or anything!  Thank goodness our room steward was keeping us in the loop or we would have been clueless AND hot!

Loved loved loved the cabin. Normally I get a balcony but tried inside stateroom with promenade view this cruise. Really nice except for crappy maintenance problems and no communication regarding the issues.

Ship tip

I will never get on a boat that just comes out of dry dock again. I think they had too many problems that were not resolved yet. Casino slot tournement could not get people logged in. AC jacked up. Room Svc did not pick up door tickets twice. Hot water turned off one evening.

Deejay43 hit the nail on the head! Hopefully we will start to see better reviews after the passengers return from this weeks sailing.

Cont'd The materials get shipped ahead of time but it doesn't all get there on time. Journeymen in several trades with experienced helpers are flown in from other jurisdictions but usually not enough to complete all areas in progress. Substantially more money is spent on decor and installation of new features (water slide) than on inspection and upgrading of basic systems.

I am somewhat familiar with what often goes wrong with the drydock refits. The cruise line faces a double-whammy when a ship is taken out of service. On top of the lost revenue for the duration, there is the actual cost of the upgrades. Too often the line tries to get more done in less time without modifying budgeted expense

I'm boarding in a week & we are really looking forward to a wonderful time! But I do keep seeing several complains. We hope they get these things taken care of! No hot water for a shower? No no not me. Otherwise I really hope you had a wonderful time!
