Your neighbors will report you and you will be put off at the next port. Fires at sea are the worst!

Because they don’t want cigarette buts that might still be smouldering to blow over and catch fire on a balcony below. Also people tend to toss their butts over the end, same as out a car window.. you also aren’t supposed to leave towels etc on your balcony for the same reason, they could catch fire from cigarette butts. There is a side on the pool deck designated for smoking. Or go to the casino, although a lot of cruise lines are changing the casinos to non smoking as well.

The smoke drifts to other balconies, we don’t want your second hand smoke. Our last cruise people were smoking pot on their balconies, the smell made me ill.

Please follow the rules and do not smoke on your balcony. This is for the safety of the ship and everyone on it. You can go to the smokers section on board or the casino to smoke.

Because it's against the rules.it's a fire hazard.Drifting smoke affects other guests. And lastly, it's against the rules.

If you are caught they will put you off the boat and probably ban you from cruising . You will have to pay your way home

No you can not smoke on the balcony. If you do, the neighbors in adjacent cabin will report you to the guest services.
