Review summary

This was an absolutely gorgeous ship, with only about 120 passengers aboard. We loved our room and all of the support staff on the ship. Because of the attitude of the management and the poor food quality I would choose a different line for my next cruise.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
We were given no instructions on exactly how to board the ship and ended up on the wrong side of the Thames with all of our luggage. Many other passengers had the same problem

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food was surprisingly mediocre. The bar and wait staff were wonderful

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There were not many activities on board but that is not what this ship is all about.

Entertainment

2 out of 5

Children's Programs

There are no children's programs

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The waiters, room stewards and bar staff went out of their way to be helpful. The front desk personnel were curt to the point of rudeness

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This was a beautiful, spotlessly clean, well-maintained ship

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This cabin was perfect, with two bathrooms and a living area.

Ports of call

London, England

5 out of 5
London is a beautiful city to visit but this is the embarkation port so it has nothing to do with the ship or the cruise line. It was great to sail out of the center of the city, but the communication with Ponant was nonexistent to figure out how to get to the ship, which was docked next to a destroyer and needed a tender to get to.

Dartmouth, England

We paid 85 euros apiece for a tour of Greenway, Agatha Christie's summer home. The tour guide met us at the dock, walked us up the hill, and told us to tour the house on our own and meet him back at the dock in three hours. We complained to the ship staff the next morning and were given a shoulder shrug and told there was nothing they could do about it as we were the only people that complained.

Isles Of Scilly

5 out of 5
We had a great tour of the Garrison with a wonderful guide

Dublin, Ireland

Belfast, Northern Ireland

We did a tour of the Giant's Causeway that included tea and a nice lunch. The guide was very informative. I would highly recommend this excursion

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
The disembarkation experience was adequate, but once again, no communication with the staff to let us know that our driver had to be escorted into the docks.
