Review summary

we thought Holland would be an upscale experience...We were wrong. We do approx. 2 cruises a year (2022 sping in Alaska on Carnival... Oct. on Holland,, on Dec .2 going to Caribbean on Royal Caribbean)

the kitchen in the main dining room does not understnd the term "medium rare" not one steak came out that way. understaffed. We did go to 6 specialty resturants. The Pinnacle was again uvercooked steak and tey did not evev bring bread or butter or ask for our drinks---under trained! the Lido was very nice

The itinerary stated several "games" up in the Crows Nest---to bad no one was up there and the wait staff had no idea. the "World Stage" had subpar entertainment and to much in the way of lectures. I could have had a lecture at the library. The BB King was very good and so was the Rock n Roll band

Our room staff was perfecvt (Pit and Lupe) were great and so was the laundry service, the food waiters were under trained but the drink staff was excellen!

Really? They changed ports so that went the excursion. Long's Drug store, Walmart and the UPS store were typical.....even the comedian made comment

Did the Luau ...approx 500 people about 100 from the ship sat to the left of te stage next to the palm tree and under the speaker, everyone sat on picnic tables. the food was good the experience was not. We were suprisd since Holland America comes on a regular basis the client priority was to the total left stage -very little view

Liked the excursion to the volcano. Very informative driver. Do not like being taken to Kona Macadamia to stand around and BUY stuff ...and the same thing with the vineyard to BUY wine
