It was different than most of our embankments. It was a little confusing where to go & the agent couldn’t answer our questions about cruising back to back. But we got on and all was well.

Food and Dining

The dining room was really good. We had a set time & table, so that made it easy to walk in every night. However, when we did do anytime dining, we had to wait 20-45 minutes, so we went back to main seating. We were new to Holland America’s buffet, they serve you. Some ways we liked it & other ways we didn’t like it. It seemed to be the same most days. The salad bar was very good. The lines weren’t too bad waiting to get served. We did not go to any specialty restaurants.
Onboard Activities

They didn’t have a lot that we liked, but there were some options. A guest asked them to add Pickleball to the daily schedule & they did, which we appreciated. We played Pickleball, lounged, read & watched movies in our room on sea days. We had a lot of ports, so we enjoyed the sea days.
Entertainment

If you like sitting around listening to music in the evenings, then this is the cruise ship for you. The shows were at odd times & not very good. The ship’s main entertainment is the music, which they had a lot of, but we didn’t want to do it for hours. Only one game show the whole 10 days, which was not well attended. Trivia at different times, which was well attended. Our dinner choices were 5:15 or 8:45, so we chose 5:15. We would finish dinner & try to make the 6:30 show. At 7:15, we would listen to some music for awhile, but usually ended up going back to the room & watching a movie. TV options were good. They had a big screen TV, but didn’t show much on it or had inconvenient times to watch. The entertainment was very disappointing. The Piano Man & Little Jo were the best acts.

Service staff was excellent! From waiters to room stewards, everyone was extremely friendly & did their jobs very well! Excellent job here!

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a spacious spa room at the front of the ship on the 10th deck. We loved it!
We cruised back to back, so we had to wait in the theater for about an hour, then they herded us out into another line & then back onto the ship. Standard procedure.
