As a cruise it's obviously still in the development stage and I'm in time they will develop the ports of call more. Some really exciting plans in place for the port of Dubai already in place. A week on Jewel is perfect, any longer would become very repetitive. We had a wonderful vacation and met some really lovely and interesting people but as I've stated, some on formal nights were embarrassing and down right rude! This was our interpretation and I'm sure some won't agree but I'll say it as I see it and all to their own 🙄
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very organized and smooth
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Ate mainly in the Windjammer where the flexibility with eating times suited our requirements more. Choices available and quality of foods were more than adequate. Ate in Tides (service in our case was hit and miss as was extremely busy) food was excellent, and Izumi also once which is much more relaxed and the service was exceptional!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Only really made use of the pools which on sailing days are extremely busy, virtually impossible to get a sun lounger but I guess that's the same on all cruises
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Seen two theater shows which were enjoyable and well presented. On the whole, all the entertainers were professional and enjoyable. Only two personal criticisms. Volume at the poolside for such a calm sailing was way too loud for me and having the same performer in Schooner's (though very talented and enjoyable) 6 nights in a row became very repetitive.
Children's Programs
No kids with us on this trip

Cabin / Stateroom

More cupboard space than we were expecting, very clean and comfortable
Ship tip
Do and wear what your comfortable with. If it means wearing a second hand creased tux (as the majority seem to do) floats your boat then go for it. What is really annoying are the sideway glances at those that don't, even though we were wearing Armani slacks and shirt and my partner wearing her Louboutin shoes and bag, totally out of order and pathetic!
Beautiful city with lots to see. Best advice I can give is do your research, decide what you want to see, (be it The Mosque, Ferrari world or whatever) and stick to it. You'll never have enough time to see everything on this cruise. Hop on hop off bus is great for sightseeing but you won't have very much time to spend at each stop if you want to cram everything in!
Beautiful beach (bring beach shoes) and Safari. Royal bring food drinks ashore, with a large open sided marquee to eat in. Free wifi and very clean toilets are provided.
Nothing much here to see unfortunately. When the captain's morning announcement was "if you don't like taking photos of rocks and shoreline I'd stay on board!
Wonderful city with so much to see and do. So glad we had decided to stay an extra 3 days here (which I wasn't keen on when booking) as we would have missed so many experiences had we not! Totally won me over and will definitely return!
As I've stated these were my views only and if you've studied English language you'd have understood. You sir and your pompous, condescending attitude are exactly the kind of person who spoils these cruises for so many. Thankyou for your comment!
Sorry, but ‘saying it as you see’ it doesn’t make you right. If there’s a dress code policy for a particular cruise they should enforce it and send you away from the dining room. If you don’t like it, don’t book it! Doesn’t matter which designer brand you’re trying to flout. If everyone took your attitude about rules we’d have anarchy worldwide! Hmmm, maybe we already have?
