Review summary

We just got off the Jewel of the Seas today and can not recommend this ship to anyone. The shows were like a high school musical, only about 1/3 of the guests attended any of the shows. The food was only fair. This is our 11th cruise, our first on RCCL and our last. The service is their only redeeming quality. It was disorganized from the start, trying to get off the ships in the ports of call was like being at a slaughter house. You are pushed down flights of stairs like cattle. We has a tour cancelled and was not notified. We were out on the pier for 30 minutes trying to find our tour when a RCCL employee finally came outside to tell us our tour had been cancelled last night. We should have been notifed by a note left in our room. We received a note from our room steward 3 days later. The pools (2) are small and there is not enought room for everyone to enjoy them on sea days. The beds are very hard and the rooms were noisey. We heard complaints all day long on board this ship. I was truly suprised and dismayed, I was expecting so much more. RCCL always brags it is so superior to Princess and Carnival. I would say they are on par with Carnival, only Carnival has better entertainment.

Pros: The staff.

Cons: Entertainment and food.

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? No.
