Review summary

The ship was very comfortable and clean. I had an inside room, very roomy. Staff was very helpful everywhere. I purchased through wholesale club travel, which was good. Bad part was I bought excursions from Shore excusions on the website, I assumed this was from cruise line. Buy your excursion onboard, Shore Excursions wanted me to walk outside protected area to meet someone unknown on an island with recent past assaults on tourist, be smart think safe I didn't get a refund but my safety is worth the monetary loss. Shore Excursions was misleading and rude with customer support, buy only from onboard cruise ship.

I liked the excursion from the ship, but I bought one through BJ travel I thought was from the cruiseline. I learned it was from a third party that reqires to walk 15 minutes to get to tour group. I was very uncomfortable with this with recent tourist assaults in this country. I'm trying to get a refund but I may have lost the $80 thinking of my safety first. I suggest wait til you enter cruise ship to purchase your excursions.

Shore excursions is great! Never had problem with them! The area around the port is very safe! Do your research all the assaults and deaths are at the private resorts away from port! How do you even go outside if you're so afraid!

Thanks for tip about Bj tours. Cruise purchased thru them. Some ship excursions already sold out (aug. cruise). Was waiting for Bj email for their tours. Will think twice about going thru them.
