Review summary

Just returned from Panama Canal, Island Princess. Ship was very nice, not crowded, and easy to navigate. Service was great, especially in dining areas, Sanctuary, and suite stewards. Highly recommend this cruise for older adults or those wanting a quieter cruise experience. Casino small, but has everything you normally see. Spa small, but appts readily available. Lots of daily activities and excellent evening shows in Princess Theater.

Pools are a little crowded. Loved the Sanctuary for comfortable, reserved lounger each day..plenty of shade if needed, drinks and food service, and you feel like royalty.

We didnt get off ship in Panama, as my 80 yr old Mother couldnt take heat all day, but enjoyed all other ports. Recommend booking day pass in The Sanctuary for optimal canal viewing, special refreshments, a photo gift, and great service. Well worth the $60.
