Hi we are on the island princess from venice on the 9th july 2015 and i noticed that the island princess is having a fair large refit.
Does anyone know what that is covering as some of the reports on the ship are very negative at the moment about what a sorry state the ship is in

Grandpaeliot, I was just at an Expedia Princess Cruise event this past week and they had a rep there from Princess who said that they have upgraded the WiFi. Large antennas have been installed on all of their ships and they are now taking the signal from land rather satellite and it's supposed to be much faster. Princess also has a new app that you can use onboard too. Open the new app on your phone and connect to their WiFi (at no charge) and you can access the daily princess patter and you can text message to friends and family members onboard the ship. I've already downloaded it and can't wait to try it! It's called Princess@sea Messenger
