A delightful, memorable cruise!

A Panama Canal cruise was on the 'bucket' list for the whole family and we enjoyed it very much! So did the in-laws! A fine range of activities for all different levels of effort and interest. The historian's talks were always entertaining and informative.

This is a great-size of ship; we don't really care for the huge, mega-ships. The outdoor movie screen, visible from Lido and Sun decks, is fabulous!

Pros: Good mix of shore-days and sea days. Loved the 'quiet' area near the spa.

Cons: Being expected to pay for bottled water! Major turn-off! :-( Also, spa staff much too pushy about product sales.

Recommends Island Princess? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The quality was frankly better in the buffet than in the Bordeaux dining room. Bayou Cafe was quite a treat!
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Special kudos to Haffner at the Passenger Services desk, who went out of his way to correct errors with the disembarking process and luggage tags.
Liked the creative workshops (writing, origami, journal, etc). Dance shows and kitchen demos were top-notch. Hypnotist was a bore. Pianist was great. Too much of the violin/accordion trio.
