Review summary

Overall it was lovely, spending time with elderly parents and making memories was great, my brother also proposed to his amazing partner so made that even more special, especially as told her he wouldn’t marry again so lots of shocked faces and tears. Can’t pretend to not be disappointed about the missed ports. They visited Alesund from 7pm - 11am but still felt cheated out of the 2 missed especially Hellesylt as that looked lovely

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very organised, staff saw my dad struggling as he has a lung condition so put him in a wheelchair, also my brother is currently using a stick so also fast tracked us

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining rooms were lovely, food amazing as was the Olive Grove. Horizon also good not as much choice as we have found on Royal Caribbean in one place but seemed split over the ship so although we were ok, think with children or pickier eaters you could have been all over the show

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Lots to do if you wanted to them, used pool on way there and way back, weather too cold while in Norway. Shows were good although digital was way too loud. Had a fab comedian and singer

Entertainment

5 out of 5
As above

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff were very helpful

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Cleanliness- brilliant Layout ok but due to some corridors being isolation cabins you could get stuck and need to go back again Actual ship not necessarily fit for purpose in the fjords, we missed 2 ports due to ship being unable to dock due to wind, which was very disappointing

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved our cabin, at the end of a corridor so no through traffic apart from family who were in 15534 and 15536

Ship tip

Take magnetic hooks for added hanging space, just make the most of it even if P and O change the itinerary, there are definitely worse places to get stuck on

Ports of call

Olden, Norway

5 out of 5
Went on the Leon sky lift, brilliant experience, thankfully although the cloud did roll in at one point it also did clear enough to actually see the top of the mountains so photos weren’t as bad as we thought they would be

Stavanger, Norway

5 out of 5
Hubby did the pulpit rock, enjoyed that despite the rain We did the boat which was still very good also in the rain, Bent the guide was brilliant Walked round the town in the afternoon as it was a bit brighter and it was beautiful

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Given a time, to disembark but ended up earlier as the process went better than expected
