it was a very restful trip, with (almost always) very good food. Cuba is really a place to visit. We hope, there will never be a McDonald. It's just so different, simple and beautiful. The people are one of the nicest we ever met. And we traveled around a lot.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
somehow they changed the system from other embarkations; there were only three people available and when a silver or gold member came, the 'regular' folks had to wait. We needed 45 minutes to embark. On other voyages it was not more than 10 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
we had two occasions, where the food was not good and we complained, but nobody seemed to have cared. I hope Oceania will not slip into 'mediocre food'; they were always the best on the ocean;
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Oceania is not famous for on board activities; finally they had pre-dinner shows, which is good.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
mainly Broadway, not our taste; only one singer/entertainer was good;
Children's Programs
this is not a ship for children, nor have we any
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
service is and was always perfect;
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
it's a ship; probably an old ship refurbished, but not bad; we saw a lot of rusted pipes, almost falling apart; maybe a little paint would help;
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
the cabin was fine, the bathroom not. It is just way too small. We never had such a small bathroom on any ship we were, and we were on many. It's just an insult for a 'luxury ship', as Oceania wants to be . There is nothing Oceania can do now, but we will avoid Insignia in the future. And we were not the only ones talking about it. Almost everybody we talked to, mentioned this.
Ship tip
be prepared to a tiny bathroom or book a suite; we were not in a suite, so we just assume, they are bigger there, but no guarantee;
it's a nice town, but there are better ones; we listened to a Jazz concert, which was very nice; otherwise, it's a little bit run down; give it time; it will be better;
