Review summary

Independence of the Seas is one of my favorite ships for small kids. There's still lots to do, but I don't feel like I'm paying for a bunch of extra features that I don't get to enjoy because I have small kids like I do on the larger ships.

LOVED the ultra spacious ocean view. The bunk beds were the perfect space for our 18 month old and 4 year old.

Ship tip

Don't miss the shows! They're so great, the splash pad is also one of the best in my opinion.

We embarked from Terminal G and disembarked at terminal A. That was a mess for parking and transferring bags.

Super grateful the captain kept us safe from the rough waters.. our itinerary changed due to a storm but we were ok with it. I dont think anyone was upset. We had a blast at the new island anyway
