Review summary

We had a wonderful time onboard the Icon. She’s the best of “thrill” and “chill”.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The flow at the port was so well managed. Got on in record time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
There are so many options. The main dinning and specialty venues were outstanding. The late night pizza hit the spot. The dinner buffet was the only thing I found lacking in options and quality. It was just “ok”.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I loved the onboard options. With one kid that loves thrills and one that wanted to chill, it was easy to find something that appealed to each of them.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I loved that there are multiple options and opportunities to see the shows. With a big ship, I was worried about getting a spot, but I had no trouble finding a seating that would work. Royal hands down invests more in their entertainers. There is a great group onboard and I loved that they all come together in a parade too!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Can I just say they had so many things for the kids that I didn’t need the camp?! What they’ve done in Surfside is amazing. They have outfitted the neighborhood with entertainment suiting of children. From magic shows to afternoon games, the kids loved hanging out there.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
They have somehow managed to design a ship that is light and airy, yet colorful at the same time. The whites and creams that underlie the aesthetic provide a clean, modern feel, while the colorful accents bring a fun, joyful overlay.
