Review summary

Pros: GALVESTON!!!! So much fun and great eats here! HARMONY: gigantic ship, not hard at all to find a way around, beautiful, beautiful layout, amazing aqua show, fantastic cruise line and ship for families with kids. Roatan, just not impressed, maybe an excursion would’ve helped, but we were saving for a cost of May in adventure and ultimately we never even made it into that port so that left Cozumel as our last resort and it was too expensive to take an excursion so we just wandered around town And that was not impressive. Maybe next time if we visit we would go to a private resort but most assuredly it would be on a different cruise line. CONS: oh my gosh, those beds were horrible. Even after reviewing and knowing to ask for a mattress topper, no topper could’ve helped that concrete slab. Food… nothing stood out ever. Everything was just average, but absolutely something was on that food because my husband and I both had inflammatory responses and we tried every venue on there just about and nothing stood out. The biggest lesson I learned on this Cruise was that we are older now in our 60s and we don’t like the heat or the sun. We prefer a nice meal and on board activities OK, but I don’t think we’ll cruise with Royal Caribbean again. It had been 20 years since we had been on one for RCL and we won’t likely be coming back.

Wow! That was so easy and quick! Good job Galveston! On in less than ten minutes and off to specialty dining in less than 30 min on board!

Food and Dining

This food… nothing stood out-ever! We tried specialty dining and it was just meHhh, we had the hotdogs - average, we had the pizza - -average, the Main DR was ok but that buffet, all I know is that by day three, my husband, and I both felt like there was something on that food or added to it. I am diabetic and have inflammatory responses,my glucose readings were off the charts and yet I was following a “dirty” Keto diet! This progressively got worse with every meal so that by the end of our cruise we only ate fruits and vegetables. Not sure what was going on but we weren’t sick, just NOTHING had any taste.

Not good. Ever. Eggs fried and fruits and vegetables were all that either of us could eat here.

This handicap room was super nice and roomy. Best room I’ve had in a ship in years

Ship tip

Great for families and kids. Food needs improvement. Beds need improvement

Ports of call

Not much to see here We should have known when we were leaving the ship on the pier, and saw so many people already coming back in the direction of the boat after we’ve only been in port maybe an hour. We did not do an excursion as we were waiting to do that in Costa Maya

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Cozumel, pretty port, rude, and Handsy vendors, I wish we would have taken a excursion away from this port or better yet, been further up the coastline where the other boats were docked because I’m sure there was more to do that area where we were, which was nothing but crappy shopping

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
This town, island, was absolutely one of the most enjoyable parts of this cruise. The Galveston people were welcoming, kind, and so inviting that we now want to return simply just to visit there for one week or so. The pricing for Port town was absolutely economical & impressive along with the food and the atmosphere.

Disembarkation

What a mess! Disorganized and not orderly People leaving are rude and cut line and absolutely can not follow directions! This needs to be addressed as it took over an hour to move Out of the theater
