Review summary

Overall it was OK. Weather (Tropical Storm Alberto) ruined a lot of the outdoor activities. The food and drinks were good and the service was great! There needs to be improvement on the child-related activities. But I would say that we would book another cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall the food and drinks were good. We mainly ate at the main dining and Windjammer. We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants, but I'm sure had we visited these places, the food would have been excellent.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Due to the weather issues, a lot of the outdoor activities had to be canceled (i.e. Aqua Theater shows, rock climbing) or reduced (i.e. pools).

Entertainment

Children's Programs

We attended the puppet show which was cute and fun! But the Arcade is a joke...first the area is small to begin with, and half of the machine's were broken or the SeaPass card didn't work. Also, in the Adventure Ocean drop off, my kids hated the experience. It doesn't seem like there's a good program to get the kids to interact and play with one another. One of my best memories of being on a cruise as a kid was meeting and interacting with other kids my age. Unfortunately my kids did not get the same experience.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters were fantastic (Kevin & Richard) and our room steward was really great as well! Overall ship personnel were happy, kind and willing to help. Keep up the good work here!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The overall design is good (improvements could be made to prevent loss of activities due to weather....maybe retractable roofs?). One of my main complaints was the occasional smell of sewage. Pretty much on a daily basis I would smell sewage in/around our cabin area. It wasn't all the time, but definitely several times a day. Perhaps it would occur during pump runs or heavy usage.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Since there was 4 of us in one room, it was tight. Next time, I would request 2 rooms that are connected.
