Review summary

Last month I was on Harmony and the ship was so crowded that when my mom and I went to a comedy show that I had reserved for us pre-cruise, we could not see anywhere to sit so we just stood near the pole not in anyone’s way or in the aisle and one of the bartenders ask use to politely move out of the way because some people had complained that we were in their way and when we refused to move out of the way the same bartender that asked us to move called another ship employee to ask us to move out of the way and we refused because we had reserved a spot for the show and did not see another spot where we could have viewed the comedy show because the show was in the comedy live theater and not the royal theater which has way way way more seats then the comedy live theater. I had also reserved the aqua show Fine Line and the aqua theater seats were all full that we had to stand in the back and not my mom or I could not see any of the aqua show because there was no seats available and there was a lot of people in front of use. Dinner service in the MDR was not the good because we had my time singing and every time we would go to our assigned deck and restaurant which was the Grande on Deck 4 every night when we got to the checkin person there was no available tables left in that restaurant and we were told to go to American icon grille on deck 3 each night. If I knew that mom and I would have been told to go to the American Icon Grille every night I would have made reservations for the MDR pre-cruise.

Nancy kinfla, Since I did make reservations I knew that I had to arrive at the show 20-30 minutes before they had started and when we arrived at the comedy live theater and the aqua theater for the show that we had reserved, there was no seat left in either event even though seats were reserved pre-cruise and we arrived at the show 30 minutes before the people without show reservations arrived.

Martinmanorsurplus, when I was on oasis I did not make any reservations for the MDR for the my time dining, and when I was on Harmony I did make reservations pre-cruise for the MDR for my time dining and when I go the the front of the line the dining time at I had reserved had passed and WBA’s told by the person checking us in that we had to go the American icon grille on deck 3.

Although you book a reservation you do not get a reserved seat. You must get there early as seats are first come, first served. If you are not there on time they cancel your reservation and fill the seats with stand by.

It sounds like you didnt do any research before taking your cruise. My time dining doesnt mean they will have a table for you anytime you want. You still need to either make a reservation, or wait for the next available table. My time allows you to select different times to eat each night. As for the shows... making a reservation gets you in the venue before they open it up for general passengers without reservations. From what your describing, you guys showed up right before the show was going to start... Your reservations twll you to get there at least 20min before the show start time. Rule of thumb on any Oasis class ship, go at least 30min before.
