A: If you're looking for a little more budget friendly, we stay in Texas city at the home 2 suites by Hilton. It's not a far travel from port. It's been clean every time we've stayed. Breakfast is ok at best. Keeps the kids full until we get on board.

A: I live and work on the island. Hampton Inn and suites is gated, covered parking and directly across from Walmart(in case you for get something) less then a block from seawall and a maybe 10 minute Uber to the cruise terminal. The Tremont is sooo nice... and right in downtown by the cruise terminals and old school, valet services, but super expensive. Do not stay at the San Luis hotel, my fiancé paid ALOT and it was so not worth it (kinda smelled funny) just some ideas. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask, I know what it’s like coming to a new town for a cruise! Caution Mardi Gras will be here this weekend and next, a whole bunch of tourists!!!See More

A: FWIW, I've reserved Studio 6 , Galveston for the end of March. we don't get in until 8:30 the night before, so just a bed is all in looking for. You're there before me, so if you find an inexpensive gem, please let me know.
