It is a small ship with less activities. Not too busy, good food. Don’t go during hurricane season because it is not that warm and extremely Rocky at see. Would I do this cruise ship again? No. But, I don’t regret doing it once.
Embarkation

With it being such a small ship, you actually get on really quickly. We were some of the first to arrive and it took us less than a half hour to get onto the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food and drinks were great! I do wish that the pizza available was in the Windjammer so that kids didn’t have to go to the adult only area to get pizza.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
We went during hurricane season. I don’t recommend this because it’s not warm enough to lay out and get some sun. The top deck was closed due to winds, rock wall closed for the same reason, and the pool had to be closed a few times because of the rocking ship. There’s only one pool and no kids splash pad area so it was a little crowded at times.
Entertainment

My favorite part of a cruise is the singing/dancing shows at night. This ship didn’t have any singing shows and had only one tango dancing show. That was my least favorite part. I always look so forward to the nightly shows. For this reason alone I will not recommend this ship. They did have a comedian if you’re into that though.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
The kids club was one of the best I’ve seen in a ship. There’s a playground for the littles, lots of crafts for the older littles. I heard the video game competitions for teens was fun and I saw that the teen room always had several kids in it.
Service and Staff

The staff members are always courteous and happy. They work so hard to make it a fantastic experience.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
It’s a small ship, so there isn’t quite as many things to do. But it’s also not so crowded that you have to wait a long time in line for food, or an elevator, or even seats. There’s always room wherever you go, which I appreciated.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had two rooms with a connecting door. It was nice to have two bathrooms and each of my children had their own bed. I highly recommend this.
Ship tip
Pizza in the adult only area is really good and they don’t get mad when kids go in to get some. Also, I don’t think I do this again during hurricane season. It just wasn’t warm, and it was also extremely rough during sea days. People kept falling over and they have emesis bags on every floor because they expect people to be sick.
I saw a many people with children who got to the port early just go into the aquarium that is right next-door. I don’t know about the pricing, or what they did with their luggage, but if you have the time I heard the aquarium is really neat and you can kill a lot of time there.
We did the Playa Mia delux excursion. If I had toddlers or very young children this is 100% what I’d do. The kids water area is phenomenal. The food is decent. Pizza, fries, and fajitas. The drink package made it worthwhile. But, going during hurricane season meant we couldn’t play in the ocean. The pools are not heated so we just walked on the beach a lot. If you go during a really warm season, This would be phenomenal.
You never know ever you are going to get if you sail during hurricane season. We did it once, I didn’t think it was worth it but I want to go somewhere warm in the winter so that isn’t hurricane season.
We have been on this ship during hurricane season (we always sail during hurricane season & it’s not a problem) & it is very rocky. It’s fun until you get sick & then it is awful! Very good review, appreciate your honesty & your positive attitude. Now that you have experience the smaller ship, try a bigger one next time. We will be on the Grandeur of the Seas in 21 days! I agree with you about putting the pizza place in the adult only area was a very dumb idea. Happy cruising! 🛳️😎
