Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Ate in the Windjammer for all meals but the first night for dinner. It would've been nice to eat in the MDR nightly but most kid friendly activities that weren't past 9:00PM were scheduled during our preferred early dining time. We still enjoyed the buffet. Great food and great consideration concerning my GF needs. On Italian night, the chefs made me GF pasta and every day, would provide GF bread if I asked. The service was wonderful and friendly!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
My son turned 6 just before we set sail so he was very excited to try rock climbing multiple times. He was pretty timid but the staff were so kind and patient with him. Pool and hot tub were never crowded for us as we went right after breakfast. I love that they provide lifejackets! When we cruise, we love hiding and finding rubber ducks. Since the arcade did not have their only two video games operating, it was nice to let my son play "Plucky Ducky" and win some ducks to hide for future cruises! Note to self: wait to buy arcade credit until seeing what actually works and is available. 😅 We were disappointed that Star Wars trivia was cancelled (thanks, Hurricane Milton 😆), the arcade didn't have the racing games operable, several family-friendly activities were scheduled for the same time, and karaoke, shush party, other family-friendly activities were scheduled well past bedtime.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed Inside Out 2 in the theater on Sea Day and dancing to music in the Centrum! However, the Broadway Rhythm & Rhyme show was not kid-appropriate in my opinion and the Headliner show was ok but not great. We didn't watch the first show on opening night due to it being scheduled late.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Smiles all around. I am grateful to the staff for being so kind. Some of the staff would remember us and come and chat w/ my son like he was their friend. When my omelet beeper went off one morning, one of the head waiters who was talking w/ us went and got it for me. There were various instances where personal service and conversation were truly outstanding. 🥰

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Sure, it's RC's oldest ship, but it is well-maintained to the best of the staff's abilities. Loved the nostalgic & cozy feel Grandeur offered!

Ship tip

Buy yourself a pack of strong, magnetic hooks & a plastic shoe organizer. You can store shoes, accessories, toiletries, etc...and save alot of room! Also, try a "Blueberry Nojito" and if you're a drinker, a "Blueberry Mojito". 😋
