Review summary

On our 2nd to last day on the ship, we went to the restaurant for brunch time. We were wearing tank tops and shorts, waiting in line with a bunch of other people wearing the same thing, or in many cases even less (swim suits, ect). The lady attending to the line and allowing people in, walked up to me and my partner and told us we needed to get out of the line and go back into the room and change because it wasn’t appropriate. It was odd to me since other people were being allowed in with no issue. We returned once we changed and once again, were in line with people who were wearing the same thing or less. Those other people were let in with no issue and not asked to change. It felt like we were being singled out and discriminated against, possibly because me and my partner are in a same sex relationship. Another evening, the last night on the ship, we were going into the restaurant for dinner and Were at the door way waiting for entry to be seated, like we did the other nights. The person at the front rudely said “what are you waiting for, if you know your table just go sit”. Even though every other night we were told to wait to be seated. The glasses we got had lip stick stains on them, steak was over cooked, bread never came after we asked for more, as well as juice that I had to ask for 3 times. Our waiter, Demitrio and his co-waiter Pura however, were very nice and attentive.

I have had many cruises with Royal Caribbean, I am a transgender female. I have never had an issue with Royal Caribbean. Some people you can never make happy.

crazycruisinman, I went to explore and looked at the itinerary and it was a 4 night cruise but I also think it was a fake review. If other people weren’t turned away for wearing similar outfits why were they and how would the person know they were gay?

Always looking to play the discrimination card. There's much missing from the story. The hostess could have thought you were sisters unless the haircuts, tattoos or nose rings gave it away. 🤣

Fake review... 0 cruises...we got on board on the 25th for our 5 day cruise, ship is doing 5 day cruises ,so not a real review

I'm so sorry you had a horrible vist to the reastoran I do recall when I was on the grandeur of the sea in feb 2019 there was an older man in a electric wheelchair chair that he was given a hard time with them letting him use it to get to his table I was thinking to my self that's horrible I know it's a tight fit for walking but they should know half of the people sailing on the older ships are mobiles challenged I hope you have a better out come if you cruise again.

Thanks for the review. Sorry you had a bad experience with interpretation of the dress code. I would have complained to guest services about that. I fail to understand your comment that, at the restaurant, you never received bread, nor juice after you asked 3 times, yet you complimented your waiter and co-waiter for being so attentive. That doesn't sound very attentive to me.
