We got the deluxe beverage package which was more than worth it since it included soda, coffee & alcohol. The food in the Windjammer was great and had a wide selection. I recommend getting breakfast in Great Gatsby. Dinner in Great Gatsby was ok. Not many options that I cared for.
Onboard Activities

We were bored a lot. We came on this cruise knowing it didn’t have many activities though, and that’s our fault for thinking we wouldn’t get bored. The outside pool was small and always packed. The inside pool was even smaller and usually crowded. The shows sucked and mainly had the attention of the older guests on board. I don’t recommend this cruise if you have children or teenagers. There’s not much for them to do at all.

We went to a few shows but left within 10-15 minutes. They had the attention and draw of the older guests on board. The music wasn’t bad that played throughout the day.

We had great service though-out the cruise! Only complaint was our room steward did not clean our room one day. Then the next we had the do not disturb magnet on the door and he walked right in😅😂

Overall it was clean. The smell of our interior bathroom was awful and smelled like sewage the entire time. The first night we were on board we found a creepy crawly roach friend in our bathroom that I was not pleased about.

Size is doable for two people. But our bathroom smelled like sewage the entire time and we couldn’t figure out why.

Enjoy the Viking Crown Lounge for peace and quiet.
Worst port. The people, even the taxi drivers that meet you, are not trustworthy. After about 45 minutes in a taxi trying to get to the beach, I told the driver I was sick and needed to go back to the ship. It was also very dirty and not pretty whatsoever.
I see you have a Carnival Mardi Gras cruise booked. That will be a better experience for you and your family. By your comments I think you were looking for the resort style large ship experience. That ship is old and small with little exciting experiences available.
