Review summary

This is a bottom of the barrel cruise, I expected more from Royal Caribbean!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Great! Fast, smooth with no issues. On the ship in about 15 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Decent food on the buffet but very repetitive.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Not a whole lot to do on this ship if your a younger family! Boredom is everywhere, due your reseach PLEASE!

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The reggae band was great but shows are far and few between. Cruise director is supposed to set the tone and was never around.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
Horrible.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service and staff goes over and beyond! With the exception of one bartender everyone is wonderful!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship is old but well maintained and easy to navigate because of it's size.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
A little on the small size but comfortable. Really small bathroom and shower very tricky and almost unsafe!

Ship tip

Do your homework! If you want excitement and things to do find another ship.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

4 out of 5
Port was fine.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

4 out of 5
Very friendly and clean, had to leave early due to weather so can't say much more. Did the glass bottom boat night tour, was interesting and fun.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Off the sip quick and through customs with no problems.

I see many complaints of “nothing to do” on cruise ships. Most Cruise ships built in the last 25 years have a number of options. It seems that many people have forgotten, or maybe never knew, the joys of just relaxing on the deck watching the ocean go by, reading a book, doing a crossword puzzle, taking a nap or just doing nothing

I myself will be on my 1st cruise in January on the Allure and knew that 1. Had to find a ship with plenty of activities. 2. Get a balcony, etc. The point is yes do research and know exactly what you want from your vacation/experience. I've learned so much from being on here. This itinerary sounds like a short getaway which means it's on a smaller and older ship. So with that in mind you shouldn't expect an Oasis ship experience.

Although I wasn't bored on my RC cruise last week (and yes I am a young adult), I do agree that people need to do their research before picking a cruise. But aside from that, it seems like you enjoyed yourself while in port.
