Review summary

As an adult daughter/mother (both taken) cruise, this was fantastic. There are not a lot of singles on this cruise so we didn't feel like we were on some sort of party ship. We wanted to relax and enjoy each other's company before daughter gets married. There is plenty to do on this ship if you are looking for activities. The staff is the BEST in the seven seas. We love the Lady G, and will be sailing on her again in the next 11 months.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had never driven ourselves before, and we decided to give it a go this time. The luggage service, parking and embarkation were all seamless and easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and service, as always, were top notch. We did not dine in any of the specialty restaurants. The Windjammer was delightful for breakfast and lunch, and the Main Dining Room, assigned dining, was fantastic. The staff were great, and especially helpful with my severe food allergies. They were attentive, and so kind about everything. Our big surprise this time was discovering the Park Cafe in the Solarium. We ate lunch there several times, and there was never a crowd. The pannini sandwiches were great. They have late night nachos, which we wanted to do, but we never lasted that long. BEST yet, was the strawberry kiwi water available at the Windjammer and Park Cafe.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We loved the Solarium pool and hot tub area, as well as just enjoying relaxing in the Centrum when the weather was cool. HOWEVER, RCCL is playing WAY TOO MUCH Michael Jackson, and it seemed every time we went into the Centrum they were having a Learn to Dance the Thriller class. DON'T MISS the egg drop competition. We did not see this on our previous Lady G sailing, and it was a BLAST!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We didn't go to the stage shows, but did enjoy the Centrum bands quite often. They were all great, but the one soft rock band was especially enjoyable as they didn't blast so loud you couldn't talk when they were playing. Also the one Reggae band was especially good, and when we were on Cococay, they were nearby. Made the beach all the better for their sweet sounds.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As always the Lady G staff is top notch. We even made a few lasting friendships with staff, and when we sail on her next year, we hope to see them again.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
After docking near one of the larger Oasis class ships, we decided we prefer the smaller ships like the Lady G and the Enchantment. The ship is well laid out, and pleasing, especially for those who want to relax and don't need Ice Skating, Water Slides, and all the hoopla kind of ship board stuff.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were two single ladies traveling, and there was more than ample room in the cabin when the beds are in a twin configuration. There is plenty of drawer space both in the dresser and in the closet. We had a full desk as well as two chairs. The bathroom, while small as expected, was spacious enough to meet our needs, even as a plus size gal.

Ship tip

TAKE TIME TO RELAX!! Also, if you don't like paper straws, bring your own reusable ones. We did, and were glad we did so.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
This was a difficult port to navigate in and out of if you didn't do a ship excursion. We were meeting a large group of friends/hobbyists and to go just one mile, a LYFT was $16. Because of the highway, it was not a walkable mile. One of us did the nearby Helicopter ride as well, and we highly recommend that.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

4 out of 5
COCOCAY is beautiful. We went to one of the further beaches, and it was quiet and relaxing. The ship crew/waiters were quick to bring us a drink, and keep us refreshed the entire time. We enjoyed meeting some of the locals at the Straw Market, and talking with them. The only reason for the 4-star rating is that there is no shuttle on the dock or island. As someone with a mobility issue, it made it very hard to navigate the island. Perhaps when the improvements are completed, they will consider a shuttle.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Seamless and Easy.
