Overall the cruise was good. Royal Caribbean was ok, but we will travel with Carnival from here on out. Just a few things that we enjoy about Carnival over Royal: Comedy shows, Room service, food quality, ship layout. Bermuda was great and we will definitely be going back there. It was nice to be at the port for three days, it allowed us to really see the whole island and not feel rushed back to the ship. Seas were a little rough, but that will happen when traveling so far out and on that size of ship.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was ok. It was our first time traveling on Royal Caribbean.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The main dining rooms and buffets were good. The food was good quality. I feel like they had a lot of food options that cost extra vs what we were accustomed to on Carnival.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The ships activities were ok. We generally travel with Carnival, so some of the things we like to do weren’t available.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
The ship has some entertainment to offer. However, I feel like it lacked in this department. We really enjoy the frequent comedy shows offered on Carnival. They just didn’t have an emphasis on shows like that on Royal. I recall maybe one show we enjoyed.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
We chose this cruise since they offered the Royal babies program for our infant. It was nice being able to travel as a family but also have the opportunity for some adult time when we liked. This is a great program offered by Royal that other lines don’t have.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff and room stewards were great. They always make sure you are having a good time and really go above and beyond.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was clean and staff was always working to keep it in good shape. The ship has some age to it, however, I think it was scheduled for an upgrade.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The room was an ok size. Typical of an interior. I feel like some of the amenities that are offered on other cruise lines weren’t offered here. Rooms were clean and taken care of.
Ship tip
Take some time to enjoy the different areas of the ship. She looks old from the outside, but beautiful on the inside.
We really enjoyed Bermuda and plan to travel there again. We stayed in port for three days. Each day we took a taxi to a different beach and enjoyed some snorkeling and sun. The area is beautiful and anyone traveling to Bermuda will really enjoy being there.
