Grandeur of the Seas

5 Night Bermuda (Baltimore Roundtrip)

Sail date: June 24, 2017

Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

Cabin type: Oceanview

Cabin number: 2600

Traveled as: Family (older children)

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Review summary

The ship is showing its age both in noticeable rust in certain areas as well as lack of dining options and activities compared to other more modern ships. The crew was friendly but the food choices in the main dining room were not as exciting or flavorful as other cruises we have been on in recent years. Also, don't book the Wild West glass bottom kayak adventure unless you are okay with them not being glass bottom as none of them were so equipped.

Cabin 2600 was clean and adequate. Mattress was comfortable. This cabin is near midship and didn't feel motion very much.

Ship tip

One of the oldest, if not the oldest, ship in RC fleet. As a result, amenities not as numerous as other larger ships. Ships at Baltimore are limited in size due to having to fit under key bridge and Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
