Review summary

the ship is not what was advertised, this is a much older smaller ship that has suffered much damage in the past ( port accident, a fire) the age shows!! Though not a very kid friendly ship the out door theatre shows were for the kids.

service could have been better as you pretty much got your own drinks. everything came with a price tag (gratuities added) so beware if tipping they probably have already been added. not a lot to do on sea days and the casino was cash play only. A few good notes are that the room was nice we had an ocean view, food was great and the adult comedy shows were funny. getting on and off the ship was also easy.

I've been on two other cruises the grandeur of the seas was my first and the carnival pride was my second no the grandeur of the seas isn't kid friendly so we decided to take my then 14-year-old daughter and my 13-year-old son one Carnival pride. My children enjoyed themselves on the pride is a family trip but my husband and I prefer grandeur of the seas

I just got off GOS and absolutely loved her. although my profile only shows 2 cruises this was actually my 23rd. yes, she is small and not super kid friendly but we had top notch service throughout our entire voyage

The Grandeur has just had a dry dock rehab. I have sailed on her several times and 5 of my next 7 cruises are on her. Being a smaller ship means the crew is like a family. A very well trained family. They are a happy crew. The food in the MDR is very good, in Chops and in Giovanni's it is outstanding. The bartenders have great memories as do the poolside servers. The entertainment is great in the very comfortable theater. The Schooner Bar is top notch. The cruise director and his wife, the activities manager keep the spirit of the cruise high everyday. As far as the cost of things on the ship, you paid for the cruise, taxes and port fees, meals and entertainment and going to different ports of call. If you buy something extra, you must pay for it. The crew is being paid less than minimum wages and any tips we give them means so much to them and it is one of the reasons for great service. Every day in the cruise compass there are activities listed from morning to bedtime, you should read it before you go to bed to plan out your next day activity.

Let's see if the OP responds. How many cruises have you been on? BE HONEST! What cruise lines? If the OP responds, I will tell you why I asked these questions.
