Review summary

Leaving from Baltimore is a dream since you park within a stones throw of the ship. The cruise director and staff were outstanding in providing continuous options for keeping you busy/entertained if you wanted to participate. The food in the MTD was fine and with the recommendations of the wait staff made decisions easier. The ports were all great with Charleston, Miami and Nassau within walking distance of the ship. We had to skip Coco Cay due to being too windy for the tenders and some shore activities, but spent another day in Nassau. Overall a great cruise. The ship is scheduled for an overhaul which should make it more comfortable and up to date.

The centrum which was a central stage allowed viewing from decks 4-9 for many musical and special events.

Ship experiences

Nice selection in dining room, the Windjammer had different options daily.

5 out of 5
Many activities headed up by activities staff, plus options for individual ping pong and table games.

5 out of 5
Headliners were great and production shows top notch.

Service and Staff

Great service

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was designed well and small enough to get around easy.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Near center of ship not far from elevators but far enough away from centrum as to not hear music.

Ship tip

Especially convenient if you can drive to Baltimore and smaller ship with max passengers around 2500, we had around 2000.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Hop on hop off bus is great option and they pick you up and provide return to the ship. The $45 price is also reasonable.

I have asthma & can't be around any kind of smoke. I rush through the casino when I have to go through there & I avoid the one area that smoking is allowed on deck. No problem. 😎

Like her, except hard to get away from cigarette smoke

The Grandeur is an older ship but we loved it and have already booked a second cruise on her.
