Review summary

This was our 1st cruise and it was OK.  We did not have the best weather, but seasickness was not a problem for us because we sail.  Inside cabin was too claustrophobic.(Only cabins available when we booked.)  Not enough activities that we would be interested in.  We are an active couple.  Weather did not permit usage of the rock wall. Water excursions were cancelled due to high wind.  Food was sub par in Giovanni's.  Tomatoe sauce was so sweet, it was inedible.(we just returned from Italy in July)  Dinning room had imaginable plates, but very fat ladened.  Ate most of our meals in the Windjammer.  Better selection and able to control food choices. I would try a cruise again, but one that left from Florida and went to the Carribbean.  Not worth the money we spent especially with drinks, ie: soda and an occaisional cocktail.  We don't drink enough for the package which we felt was very expensive.  There was very little dicretionary spending aside from some scotch and a bracelet.  678.00  total with gratuities, food and extra drinks.  Alot of extra spending on top of the 1149.00 we paid for the cruise.

Yes we did. We did as much as time allowed. Went into Hamilton on Sunday and found a town closed. Walked around the warf and visited galleries. Toured the Keep, walked to the beach which was also closed. Did the Crystal caves, Zoo and aquarium. Visited the facility that offered a dolphin experience. Disappointing. I did a swim in the Florida Keys which included more interaction and actual swimming with the dolphins. I think that the responder to my criticism missed the point. Bermuda is a perfectly lovely island if the weather is cooperates. There is great reef diving which we were looking forward to. So there you are. I could continue, but circumstances did not allow this to be a great experience. We are seasoned travelers, just not cruisers.
