Review summary
The Grandeur of the Seas is a very clean well taken care of Ship. Leaving from our hometown port was a plus. No need for flying to another location to cruise. Sailing to Bermuda was wonderful but the stay was not long enough. The crew met just about every need we had but one. We had traveled with other family members but were unable to sit together at dinner. The crew tried to adjust the seating but were unable to. I believe they could have used our suggestion but chose not to. A language barrier may have been the problem. We have experienced open seating on other cruise lines and this seems to be the way to go (in my opinion). The other con would be the other passengers on the ship. On the pool deck many of the pasengers saved chairs for the rest of their friends and family members. One group took over 10 chairs at 9:00 am and did not return until noon that day. When they finally showed up they completely blocked off access to the pool. Many had to go another way to reach the pool. They were under a sign which ask the passengers not to save chairs. The crew made no effort to enforce this request and allow others to enjoy the pool deck area. By about 3:00 they were all drunk and became rude and obnoxious. In the gym it became difficult to use the equipment because the crew was using it at about 5:00 pm and going way passed the requested 20 minute maximum time. You would think the crew would at least allow the passengers to have priority. But over all the cruise was a wonderful experience for me and my family and we will go again.Ports of call
Pros: Relaxation
Cons: The other passengers
