Review summary

It was like a Ghost ship with under 700 guest. We only saw one couple when coming or going from our cabin. Mid day on sea day lots of open pool chairs. Staff was on top of everything, as soon as you sit down near the pool you were asked if you wanted a drink(free drinks, coffee tea, lemonade or ice water). For the safety drill we were the only ones checking in at the time we went. No lines anywhere on the ship. The only time it felt busy was sea day breakfast in the buffet. It was so relaxing with the ship so empty, I'll cruise again during covid.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Short line, show proof of Vaccine and negative Covid test and walk on the ship with the Medallion. We were on the ship in 5 minutes. Cabins were ready when we got on the ship at about noon.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was not up to par for what I had on Princess in 2018. MDR food was hit and miss, some good others not good. The Buffet had good food, Pizza was very good, the Salty Dog Chicken sandwich was very thin and dry. Portion sizes have shrunk since my last Princess cruise. After dinner in the MDR we would go to the buffet on the first night, then we learned to order more in the MDR.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ship had some good Piano players and singers on board. No big musical shows as this was an 80's comedy cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was outstanding. The ship had only 680 guest and I think 850 crew. As soon as you picked a table in the buffet or by the pool you weer asked what you wanted to drink, plates were cleared and tables disinfected and cleaned quickly. The crew all were happy to see guest on the ship, Since so few guest you had time to talk with the crew and get to know some of them.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was spotless. Everything looked clean. This is an older ship and she shows some of her age in lay out. She looked like a older design ship them the Monarch of the Sea's did and Monarch was years older.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was spotless, it was small but had everything you would need

Disembarkation

Did this exact cruise on September 30, 2021. Totally agree with everything you wrote. Staff was great and feeling like you have the ship to yourselves. Glad you had a great time as well. Thanks for sharing.
