Review summary

Absolutely no complaints ... except that I didn't do enough on board.. My fault.. Top cruise. I loved the Rocky cyclone weather, the wind, the scenery & meeting up with American passengers from Diamond.

Onboard Activities

The pools were awesome. It was like seeing in a wave pool. On Wed pool was warmer & one was 21 degrees. Very encouraging! When we got near the cyclone the pools were really splashing but I didn't go in then.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
My travel buddy Barbara Shell was selected to go up on stage with magician Adam Dean who is awrsome & she became an overnight 'famous' person!

Service and Staff

All smiling, friendly, courteous & a pleasure to be on board with them.

Ship Quality

Golden had a big advantage having electric doors which I am sure is a huge help with sanitising.

Cabin / Stateroom

Overall excellent, but I didn't want the cushion on my bed with OPG so I moved that all the time..

Ship tip

Golden is very large. Some of the oldies were Complaining it was a long way to everywhere. The Captain was awesome keeping passengers In Touch & informed as a cyclone approached. approached.

Bit pissed off at the ship here. Wandering around on my own & I saw Chinese New Year parade was on.. No info about this from the ship OR the underground markets which were terrific & the dragon boat races!

Gisborne, New Zealand

Awesome. I did hop on hop off bus $10. Then a ride on A MV which leaves from outside the fishing club $15. Then, it was day 4 of a fishing Como. I saw Tuna 13kg x 4 getting weighed & best of all I saw a Striped Marlin come in & get winched up 89.55kg! Then I had to run fast to catch the last tender!
