Everything about the Golden Princess was top-notch. We got so attached to some of the staff it was hard to leave. The entertainment was very enjoyable and had something for everyone. Our mini suite was great and gave us plenty of space for our 2 weeks in one room together.

Really enjoyed the Italian Resturant, well worth the money. But I suggest trying it early in the trip when you aren't quite so full from eating all the yummy food.

WE had a good experience on the Winery trip with a free bottle of wine. Town & shopping is a short taxi ride away.

We hired a private taxi at stand when you get in by the shops. Got a great driver who showed us many sites & shared much information about the island. Lunch at Dukes was very good.

Enjoyed the tour of island & the USS Arizona. Highly recommend if you haven't been.
Don't Miss: USS Arizona Memorial

Helicopter trip over the volcano was great The city of Hilo is quaint and had some souvenier shops, not much else.
Don't Miss: Helicopter over volcano.

Pros: The service was excellent.

Cons: Didn't realize how cold it could be, needed more than a light wrap. Wished for sweatshirt & long pants instead of sundresses on several days & evenings.
