Review summary

The ship was well maintained and very efficiently run, our room was close quarters but very comfortable, the balcony was certainly a plus, we enjoyed it a great deal, saw many wonderful sites from the comfort and privacy of our own room. The sit down meals were excellent, the buffets were only average but they were feeding a lot of people. The shows were very enjoyable and they had a naturalist on board that added a lot of personal knowledge to our expienece.

Many original buildings re-ocated from the gold rush era to this town so it is picture perfect. We went on the train ride and gold dredge tours and they were both interesting and enjoyable. The ship docked about a 15-20 minute walk outside of the city, but there were shuttle busses for $1.50 to take you into the city that ran every 8-10 minutes.

Small town that is easy to walk to the activities if you don't book through the cruise line. Look for the blacksmith by the lumberjack show, he had authentic handmade Alaskan souvenirs.

Juneau, Alaska

Rained hard this day, but the excursions that we went on the whale watching and glacier viewing were still very enjoyable. The people in Juneau were very friendly.

Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier

Pros: We liked the food, the shows, and the people that we met- from all over the world and also from the next city over! Also, the majesty of the beauty of Alask is unmatched.

Cons: The wait staff was sometimes very slow to repond to request
