Review summary

I was so excited to be returning to cruising since the shutdown and there were some bumps in the road, but I can't say that this was a bad cruise. The best part, which is the most important, I got to get away and relax!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Quick and smooth check in. Once we showed our documents, COVID negative tests, and boarding passes, we were aboard!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We were with a group, and they didn't have enough tables to accommodate us, but it was an easy fix and it went smoothly from there. The food was under cooked, but Atu and Sean our servers were very compassionate and simply got us food we enjoyed. They gave us complimentary sodas and appetizers each night.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Not too many activities as onboard the Allure, Liberty, Adventure, or Anthem, but the activities like the bellyflop competition, live bands, and movies on deck were enough if you don't ice skate, rock climb, or play sports. The fitness center was easy to go in if you are a workout person.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Michael Jackson tribute was fun! The live music was great! The Schooner Bar piano players never disappoint!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Didn't have any children on this cruise, but what I did love was the special service called AutisimOnTheSeas, which catered to autistic and special needs individuals of all ages so they can enjoy the cruise experience as well.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waitstaff Atu and Sean were extraordinary for us at dinner and our room steward Igusti was awesome! Whatever we needed, be that extra towels, ice for our room, or simply keeping our room clean he was the best!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Yes, the ship is older and in need of an upgrade, but the ship was always clean and presentable. There was round the clock cleaning and all of the public areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Interior cabin, the room was a little cramped, but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and we had more than enough storage space

Ship tip

Returning to cruising is still in progress, the staff is still short handed, so pack your patience and compassion

Ports of call

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Took a tour on the party bus and saw the only church on the entire island, the California Light House, and spent the rest of the tour on the beach.

La Romana, Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
Didn't venture out, but the stores were pretty good, but pricey

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Beautiful city, the beach is nearby, MSC, Norwegian, Carnival, Disney, and Vrigin Cruise Lines also sail from here.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Been there several times, the zip lines, coaster, and several beaches are pretty good. If you love heat and getting your tan on, Labadee is the place to be!

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
The BEST port of the cruise! We took a bus tour to the distillery and saw the swinging bridge and the special locks exhibit. We were only disappointed we forgot to bring a lock.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarking was quick and easy. The only delay we had was waiting for the elevator once we were off the ship and making our way to customs, which went smoothly as well. Key tip, take your luggage off yourself. If you have an early flight it will save you a lot of time
