Review summary

With the MLK holiday, the 5 day cruise was popular with families. I heard that we had about 800 kids on board. As well, the 5 day tends to be a booze cruise. It was the first time I've seen a beer ordered in the Windjammer at breakfast. Overall it was noisier than we'd prefer. Having said that, it was a great time.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were on a back to back cruise. It took half an hour to get us off and back on the ship. No complaints!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall, good food. Especially enjoyed the MDR at lunch on sea days.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Happy the RC is including pickleball. The paddles are poor quality and the court isn't really designed for pickleball but we made it work.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainers were good. Ice show was a hit.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff took great effort to be helpful. Our room steward, Royal, was excellent

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Balcony suite is a good size for 2 people.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We did an excursion to Balmoral Island. The resort is a day resort with a beach and chairs. Once you get there, there is only one option for food and drinks and it's expensive.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We disembarked with our luggage and got through customs in record time.

Glad you enjoyed it. It’s always best to avoid cruising around a holiday, especially anything less than 7 days.
