Review summary

We have enjoyed cruise vacationing over the years on small to large ships. The Explorer of the Seas was one of the best. The design and layout, especially the common areas, hid the fact that there were 3,100 passengers on board. The 1 to 3 ratio of staff to passengers was evident in the cleanliness of the ship and the availability of passenger assistance. This was, however, surpassed by the friendly, competent and efficient people that made up the crew.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The location of the three main dining rooms which were stacked on Decks 3,4 and 5 was vry good. The menu selections was fair and the quality was sub-par at times.

Entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff we came into contact with, without exception, was the most competent, friendly and pleasant cadre of crew members we have experienced on our 12 cruises.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean, bright and spacious public areas. The Promanade in the center of Deck 5 is a super idea.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our Junior Suite was spacious with many spaces for clothing and other travel items. Thearge walk-in closet was a big plus.

A must see location. The history, the magnificent architecture of the homes, old churches, old and new commercial buildings makes this a wonderful stop
Don't Miss: All or it!

Pros: The Ship's design, decor and staff.
