Review summary

The Ship is awesome hence our 3rd trip on the Explorer of the Seas. It is starting to show wear and tear but still a beautiful ship.

Entertainment

Could use some updating. After 3 times on this ship it can get a little repetative but there were some elements that were changed! The orchestra and dancers were fabulous. Great Juggeler too. Cons......pub entertainment geared towards older crowd. Could use a modern guitarist. Did notice a new pianist who sang updated music which was new to this ship.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

Tons to see and do. Hop on/off trolly is great for seeing sights but hard to see boston in one day!

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Highly recommend Murphy's on the Water for a great Tall ship experience. Barry and Sebastian were wonderful and much cheaper to book on your own with fewer crowds. My kids got to raise the sail and stear the sail boat. FUN!

Bar Harbor, Maine

LOVELY town for walking and shopping (kind of like carmel, CA) and Cadillac Mountain is a must see. Check out Olly's trolly for a cheaper trip up to cadillac with a great guide.

New London, Connecticut

Were originally slated to stop in Newport RI but they changed the port. Other than the acquarium and Mystic Seaport not much to do. Also, cab rides expensive and cruise excursions very pricey.
Don't Miss: Acquarium and Mystic Seaport. Can't really do both justice in one day. PIck one.

Portland, Maine

Saint John, New Brunswick

Not much doing.

Pros: Boston and Nova Scotia and Mystic were wonderful

Cons: Stopping at Portland, Maine and St. John's New Brunswick wasteful
