Review summary

Cruised for my 50th birthday which is on Halloween. It was a fun Halloween- themed cruise!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We did our check-in via the RC app so embarkation was fast! We showed our mobile boarding passes to the agent, went through security and then straight to the ship. Our Sea Passes were on our cabin door.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We ate at Windjammer and in the main dining room. The food was good. The apple pie in the MDR was really good! We cruised for my 50th birthday and RC is celebrating their 50th anniversary so the cake was appropriate!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the hot tub but didnโ€™t get in the pool this time. Skipped the fitness center and jogging track this time as well.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the shows. Love & Marriage was ALOT of fun! The comedian was good and the tenor wasnโ€™t bad. We liked the RC produced shows as well - some performers are better than others but lots of good talent and good sets / costumes. The Orpheum Theater was nice and the seats were comfortable. The menโ€™s belly flop contest is always a must! The Halloween themed activities (trivia, Thriller dance, costume parade, etc.) were lots of fun!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room Steward, Gosnel, was great! Our waiter in the MDR was nice but a little hit or miss. His assistant was great. Great service in Boleros and in Windjammer. The cruise director, Elizabeth, was great and had limitless energy! The activities director, Sani, was great as well! The staff overall was friendly and helpful. Interacting with the staff is something we always enjoy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Yes, the outside of the ship is rusty but inside was clean and nice. Common areas were kept clean. This was our first time on Enchantment and we liked the layout. It was easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were in interior cabin 2559. We had plenty of storage and our room steward kept it clean. The bed is firm but we didnโ€™t think it was uncomfortable. Past cruises we have done a porthole or balcony room. We liked the interior room. It was a great location- very quiet. We like to be out and about the ship instead of in our room so we will probably start with interior again next time and then decide whether to do the upgrade offer.

Ship tip

Take advantage of completing boarding information through the Royal Caribbean app to speed up embarkation. The app itself is great to use prior to your cruise and onboard as well. You can create your own schedule, view activities and see where venues are, view your excursions, and keep track of onboard spending.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did self-assist for the first time. We will definitely do it again! I took us less than an hour to disembark and get in the car and on the road.
