Review summary
1st time cruising with royal caribbean, always heard they were the best. we have been on other southern gospel cruises with carnival and holland america, they all have pluses and minuses. you asked that we be honest, positives were, the best ever disembarkation of any cruise we ever been on, allowed us to catch a early flight home! the touch screens were a big help for helping us find our way around the ship, with 4 singings going on at one time , this was a help and the food was tasty. the negatives were food service, yes the food was tasty, but the service may be the worst we have experienced on a cruise. we eat each evening in the my fair lady dining room. i believe they wanted each course to digest before they brought you the next. we entered the dining room at 5 each evening and had to eat our dessert as we were exiting the dining room so the 8 pm group could get in. our waitress said that there were issues in the kitchen and this was not normal, i can understand maybe one evening, but really? we had breakfast and lunch in the windjammer dining room each day, again the food was tasty, but getting a seat was like winning the lottery! a couple times we got in but eat standing up, some others had to wait there time just to get in . other cruise ships had more than 2 places to eat.we rested good each night, smooth sailing, but our bed would definitely win the squeaky bed award! great get away and look forward to doing another templeton tour cruise!
