Enchantment of the Seas

9 Night Eastern Caribbean (Baltimore Roundtrip)

Sail date: November 26, 2011

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

The Enchantment of the Seas is showing her age. We enjoy the smaller ships for cruising but would probably avoid this RC ship. Our balcony was rusty and "old". The bed in 7562 was terrible, and there was no apparent ability to correct this by the ship's staff. The ship was generally clean but showed wear, ie stained carpeting.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was well prepared (great pizza in the Solarium!) and served with care. Menu selection was only average for a cruise line.

Service and Staff

Great wait staff and good room attendant.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Pros: Sailing out of Baltimore port is a breeze! Onboard ship staff were good, but we have had better on RC.

Cons: Food was only fair. RC's menu selections are pedestrian at best. You cannot get a decent steak without ordering from the "speciality" restaurant. Our bed in cabin 7562 was terrible, and the room attendant seemed to know this. Ship obviously old and needed another overhaul or scrapping.

Recommends Enchantment of the Seas? No.
