Review summary

We sailed the Western Caribbean itinerary for our very first cruise. Much anticipated vacation without children! We found the embarkation procedures a little slow and the disembarkation procedures in need of a re-work, too confusing and felt much like cattle being herded. Also a feeling of "take your money and run" which was surprising after what has to be described as an incredible week of pampering. The Enchantment is an incredibly beautiful ship and we did not lack for things to do if we wished to be occuppied. The comedian, Ed Racine, was hysterical and probably one of the single-most favorite parts of our cruise. The staff was friendly, helpful, and top-notch. We never lacked for service in any area - from cabin stewards, bar staff, dining waiters, etc. All were quick to please. We had a late diner seating (Main) which proved to be a little too late for us old foggies (mid-30s) used to hitting the hay early. Found it hard to stay awake for the entertainment which was great. We would/will sail the Enchantment again - hopefully on the Eastern side. For a first time cruise experience they definitely won our vote and we know what to look for in our next cruise - less activity (we barely had time to eat although the food was incredible!), an earlier dinner seating so we could actually try the midnight buffet, and more days at sea with which to enjoy RCCLs incredible ships and service. Definitely first rate all the way....
