Review summary

Their tag line, "I love this," is apt because there's a lot to love about the Enchanted Princess. It's a gorgeous ship, with friendly and attentive staff, and the cruise line works hard to please, from food to activities. We're ready to sail with Princess again!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Speedy! We had the medallions shipped home, so we visited a kiosk in the terminal, a Princess agent looked at our passports, we scanned our medallions and headed for the gangway. The whole thing took under 5 minutes!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Crown Grill (filet mignon) and Sabatinni's (osso buco) were fabulous and the buffet was the most extensive we've seen. The MDR food, alas, was typical--varying quality and rather bland.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were many behind-the-scenes type of lectures, as well as a slew of game shows and other interactive events.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We went to 3 shows (a magician/comedian) and 2 production shows. I fell asleep during the magician, and the other shows didn't have memorable music. The show that invoked a video game, though, was visually interesting, with its use of the screen graphics. We did enjoy the entertainment in the small venues--piano in Crooner's, Irish singing in O'Malley's. Don't miss the "world orchestra" event on the last day in the piazza.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had great service throughout the trip, from the room steward to the buffet (waiters deliver drinks!)

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love, love, love the piazza and overall decor.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was a mini-suite, so it was very comfy. Other Princess features are nice-sized night tables and over-sized closets.

Ship tip

We had the Premier package and loved it. It's a good value and it provided an extra spark of fun for us veteran cruisers.
