Review summary

All in all, this cruise (my first ever cruise) was a magical experience I will never forget!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very organised, staff knew what they were doing, not stressful like an airport!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We found all bread was very hard?? But we thoroughly enjoyed dining in the main dining room, the international cafe and salty dog grill were lovely too! The buffet at world marketplace was good, but not AS good as other options.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn’t get round to using the pools, but they were all very well maintained as was the gym when we went past it a few times

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the entertainment in the piazza especially, the dancing lessons were the highlight! Also, the sail away party on deck 16 was amazing, lots of fun!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our steward Maurice was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we had everything we needed/wanted. Staff were always busy but sadly the were some staff shortages that meant longer waits for orders via the medallion app and long queues at bars!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very nice overall, never saw anything look dirty or out of place - 10/10

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size was perfect for us, even with the bed being put into 2 twin beds, we still had the sofa area and then of course the balcony, which was just perfect! I’d stay in this cabin again.

Ship tip

It was easy to pre book our excursion prior to sailing, and we got our tickets and information for it delivered to our cabin the night before so we were prepared for it. I’d recommend booking excursions early to save any potential stress and give you more time to enjoy the ship!

Ports of call

St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands

4 out of 5
We didn’t get off the ship as it had been a really foggy/misty night (100 metre visibility!), some people did go but we didn’t want to risk it. We heard lovely things about it though, and the view of Guernsey from the ship was great.

Rotterdam, Netherlands

5 out of 5
We booked an excursion to Amsterdam. We took a coach trip which showed us many of the popular sights in Rotterdam first and everywhere on the way to Amsterdam. Really well organised and easy. Looking at the lights in the port and over the city as we sailed away that night was stunning!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was delayed so there was some waiting around, but apart from that it was smooth and organised

Yes, that is probably the largest gripe on all Princess ships, they do very crusty rolls for dinner. But to me that is a minor gripe, I just use extra butter….. Glad your overall experience was a very good one.
