Review summary

Empress of the Seas surpassed my expectations. I kept an open mind because I knew that the ship was old and small, but it was the most amazing cruise experience that I have had of all 6 cruises that I have taken. I highly recommend it for short sailings.

The dinning room was very clean and the staff was also very friendly. I did not feel rushed during my dinning experience on larger ships. The food was also great. They took time to accommodate my needs when I wanted a little extra items not outlined on the menu.

The entertainment was excellent, however. The stand up comedian seemed to use lots of racial remarks and language that should have been confined to the adult show times only.

This port seems to be geared towards getting people to buy, buy buy, and spend, spend, spend. My experience was not so great. This port is at the bottom of my list. Not much to see at this port.
