Review summary

Ship was kinda boring, tbh. Only a handful of restaurants. Entertainment was plentiful but not much was of interest. Staff overall was good but some looked like they didn't want to be there. Spent my sea days mostly in my room or at the buffet. Dated decor. Smooth ride, though. Movie selection in room was excellent.

Didn't know steward's name. Waitstaff were good. Some staff didn't really engage and seemed preoccupied or just looked like they didn't want to be there.

Elevators are super slow and not ventilated. Ship was relatively clean. Room service trays left outside of rooms not picked up for hours. Dated features. Not enough alternative things to do.

Book a short cruise. Ship is kinda boring so not ideal for l9ng cruises

Embarkation was a mess for certain! And the buffet literally sucked. Can’t believe you spent time there. We had the Plus package and ate at Planks, and the Salty Dog GastroPub…both were excellent

We were on your sailing, the Explorers Lounge was a laugh every night thanks to Lovely, one of the CRUISE directors. The ship was in excellent condition for its age. My biggest complaint was th3 smell of paint,permeating through deck 7 midship from the constant daily painting out,on the promenade deck. If you’re looking for more excitement book Royal Caribbean on an Oasis Class ship…nothing below Oasis.

I cruised on Emerald Princess a few years ago and had a great time. Everyone has a different opinion whether cruise was good or bad, but at the same time, people need to research the cruises they go on, including the ship if it's going to be a good for their age and activity level. Complaining about the ships activities or food quality is on the cruiser, not the cruise line in my opinion.
