Review summary

Overall, a very nice cruise and repositioning. The longer cruises are nice as you get to enjoy more of the ship itself on sea days and the ports of call are ports that are rarely visited from the Florida ports as they are a tad further.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I was probably too "young" to enjoy the proposed on-board activities, so I did my own thing.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I would have wanted my comedy shows. The on-board singers and dancers were very good and gave us good shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great staff all around. Room steward was awesome.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was really easy to navigate, I never got lost on it. The ship is older and it shows a little bit on the outside by some rusty spots but on the inside, it is very clean and very well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean and well maintained. The movement detection sensor in front of the bathroom door can be a tad annoying on rough Seas as it will turn on the light in the walk-in area in front of the bathroom. Aside from that, very comfortable room and bed although the pillows were a little bit soft and I prefer them to be hard, but that's a personal thing.

Ship tip

Get a room near the mid-ship area on or around the 11th floor, that way, if you still have working legs you can take the stairs up or down for every occasion. On this 11 days cruise, I used the elevators about 5 times.

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

3 out of 5
Very poor island. Looked safe enough as I took a long walk on it. Some streets and back alleys are very dirty and smelly. There is no beach you'd want to swim in next to the port area.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Beautiful port area but put on good walking shoes as you may have to walk a while to get out of the port. Little beach area 20 minutes walk on the right of the port past all the shops l, casino and hotels just over the little bridge. On Sundays, most shops are closed.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Very beautiful island and port area. Lots to see by just walking the area.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Disembarkation

Really quick process especially with the scan your face customs they have in Fort Lauderdale.
